Charleston Real Estate Sales Up 22% In February

Charleston real estate sales are up 22% in February 2010 compared to February 2010 according to the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. There were 509 sales in February.  The median price stayed the same.

The real winner was Mt Pleasant inside Hwy 41 with 66 sales compared to 34 last year (94% increase).   The lifestyle and community is drawing buyers to Mt Pleasant.

Here is the breakdown by county:

• Charleston County:  60% increase in Feb Sales,  288 sales
• Berkeley County:  16% increase in Feb Sales,  108 sales
• Dorechester County:  5% increase in Feb Sales, 91 sales
