Charleston Real Estate Agent Training – Add Photos and Videos to Your Blog (Part-5)

To keep customers coming to your blog, adding photos and video can increase your blog’s stickiness.  Here is how a tutorial on how to add photos and video to your Top Producer blog.

Video

1. Go to Youtube.com and select your video.  For today’s example we will select “This Month in Real Estate” by Keller Williams Realty.

2. To the right of the video is section where is shows the URL and Embedded links for the video.  Select and copy the embedded video information.

3.  In another window have your blog open, select new post and click on Advanced Toolbar (far right side of screen).

4.  A second line appears on your toolbar, select the  HTML button.  A warning will come up saying you are entering “Entering HTML editing”.  Select “OK”.

5.  Paste your embedded code from Youtube in the new window that pops up.

6.  Select Update on the bottom of the HTML editor window.

7.  Go back to your blog editor and add your text.  A flash box should be showing where the video will be located.

Adding Photos

1.  Find your photo on Flickr.com or Photobucket.com and download it to your computer.

2. Use your photo editing software to re-size the photo to 320×220.

3. In your blog editor,  click on the tree icon (insert/add image).

4.  A new window pops up and click on the file icon on the right side “Image URL”

5.  Another window pops ups with previously upload photos.  In the upper right top section of the new window,  click “upload”.

6.  The upload box appears,  click “browse” and select the location of the photo you saved to your computer, name the file, and then select “upload”.

7.  Find the photo you uploaded and double-click the image.  It will place the image where you set the cursor.

8.  Add your text to your blog and your are done!
